The photograph below with me in the beer garden was my “ Is that really me moment”. The friend I was with loved to take photographs which I usually avoided. When I finished the first round, I hadn’t reached my original Dare to Dream weight, but I felt great and I thought I had done enough. I lost some more weight on my own following the BodySlims principles and then maintained for quite some time, using the walk as my anchor. Towards the end of the year however, due to a foot injury, I couldn’t go out walking which coincided with a very stressful period in work and gradually the weight started to go back on. BodySlims was so amazing the first time round so I signed up for the January 2025 round, with a new, more ambitious Dare to Dream target.
