Weight Loss Transformation, A Personal Journey to become unstuck.

The photograph below with me in the beer garden was my “ Is that really me moment”. The friend I was with loved to take photographs which I usually avoided. When he sent me the photograph, I was stunned I couldn’t believe I’d never really seen myself like that before. I was a bit like the frog in the hot pot. It was of course the point that I said enough is enough, I need to do something about this.

At my peak I reached 106 kg and was well and truly in the obese range for BMI. In an attempt to lose weight, I was introduced to Saxenda injections and found initially that they worked well as I could hardly eat anything. They weren’t cheap and eventually I seemed to get used to the effect and some of the weight came back on, but the side-effects made me feel like rubbish most of the time. While I was taking the injections, two of my sisters had signed up to BodySlims and had great results. They suggested that I join BodySlims, but I was happy taking the easy way out and no responsibility for my actions whilst I was using the injections. (In the cartoon below, I think that was me at the head of the queue )

Eventually, one of my sisters signed me up, paid my membership and told me I was on it. Thank God she did, that was in April 24 and I’ve now completed three rounds of BodySlims and I’m so close to my dare to dream goal. I’ve learnt so much over that period, I’ve enjoyed the routine of BodySlims, I love my morning walks and I love how I feel now. I’ve lost 28 kg (62lbs) since starting BodySlims, I’ve gone from a size 40 pants to a size 32 which I have not been in since my 20s. I have another 2 kg to go to get to my goal of 75 kg and I know that won’t be very far away.
